The WX10 engine driven pump is a self-priming centrifugal pump, powered by a compact and powerful 4 stroke, genuine Honda, petrol engine. This is coupled to a pump end that has an aluminium body, volute and impeller, which ensure that it is light, compact and portable. It is fitted to a sturdy base plate, with rubber feet to minimize vibration and has a comfortable, yet robust, carrying handle. For reliability, the pump is fitted with a carbon ceramic mechanical seal. Suitable for clean and dirty water, it has high head capabilities and gives a good flow of water. It’s neat size and performance makes it popular for irrigation, sprinkling, flooded pit drainage, washing down and general pumping. It is not fitted with an engine oil alert system. Maximum suction lift is 8 metres, however 6 metres, or less, is recommended. Hose couplings, washers, clips and strainers are supplied, but hoses are extra.
Residue pumping kit: engine pumps, with their traditional strainers, will always leave a few inches deep of water behind when pumping off a flat surface. Some areas e.g. within reinforcing, under floors etc., are inaccessible to most submersible residue pumps and can be a little heavy too. For use with 25mm (1”) centrifugal pumps, this kit will enable the pumping of water levels down to 3mm and the floor tool can be moved from puddle to puddle while the engine is still running. For pumping of site water it can suck up to 6 metres, but 4 metres is recommended. The tool is 140mm wide and weighs only 1kg so is great for inaccessible areas. The kit comprises floor tool, strainer and 4 metre suction kit with air-tight connectors.
