RCD: a residual circuit device is designed to prevent electrocution by disconnecting the power supply to a 230 volt electrical device, which either has an electrical fault or the power supply cable develops a fault. Three types available: a simple plug in, an in line version (with 1 metre of arctic blue cable) and a free standing unit (in fibre-glass case with 2 metres of cable).
